As a Member, you’ll receive the newsletters, the opportunity to be involved with volunteer projects, and invitations to Museum events – including our Christmas party!   Email us for details.

• First time member: Individual $25
• Early-bird renewal (paid prior to 30 May): Individual $25
• Standard renewal (if paid after 30 May): Individual $30
• Seniors and unwaged: Individual $20
• Family membership: $40

Come to a General Meeting or AGM

You don’t have to be a member to attend. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for notice of upcoming meetings. 

Committee: members are elected each year at the AGM. If you really want to be involved in managing the Museum and its future, then stand for a committee role and hop on board.  

Financial Support

Lyttelton Museum is a not-for-profit organisation, so donations over $5 are tax-deductible. For details about making a donation, contact us at info@lytteltonmuseum.co.nz 

Add to the Collection

If you have an item that you’d like to donate, we would love to hear from you. While we are hugely appreciative of donations, please understand that we have to ensure they meet our Collections Policy. 

If you have local history knowledge or information about collection items, consider offering your knowledge. Email us for details.

Lyttelton Museum is currently closed for research while we focus on cataloguing and options for our new premises. If you have any urgent enquires about our collection. Email us for details.

Timebank

Lyttelton Museum is a member of the Lyttelton Timebank. This means you can bank the hours you spend working for the Museum and then claim them back within the TimeBanking system. For more details, click here.
